Twenty-Nine and a Half Reasons (Rose Gardner #2) by Denise Grover Swank

Rose Gardner returns in the second installment of the Rose Gardner Mystery series by Denise Grover Swank.

Rose and Joe are still dating. They’ve been together for a little over a month now. Violet, Rose’s sister, still doesn’t like him. But it’s her own securities shining through. Her and Mike are having issues and she’s trying to project her thoughts and insecurities onto Rose and it’s making everyone miserable. Violet and Joe have a knock down, drag out verbal match one night when invited over to dinner by Mike to settle everything once and for all.

Rose likes to get herself into trouble. Joe finds her jury duty notice. Her new boss, Susanne, thinks she’s lying when she calls in. Rose makes it to the jury selection a half hour late, after getting a ticket for not putting money in a parking meter, being frisked in security, running into the DA after running out of the men’s room and breaking her heel on one of her shoes.

Rose ends up being selected as one of the juror’s for the trial. But, unlike the defense attorney and the police, she thinks the defendant is innocent. So what does Rose do? What she does best of course!

This book was better than the first book was. From just reading the first two books in this series, I know the rest of the books in this series is going to be AWESOME!!!
