Description: It’s the start of nothing good.
I fired off a storm of raunchy text messages…to the wrong number.
And he replied.
Him: Show me a picture.
Him: Tell me your name.
Why does the lure of anonymity have me craving to indulge a stranger?

It’s the start of everything right.
I received a slew of text messages…when everything in my life was wrong.
And she made me laugh again.
Her: You’re probably a creeper.
Her: Possibly a stalker.
Why do I have the overwhelming need to find this stranger who saved me and make her mine?

Him: Take a chance with me.
Her: This is crazy.
Him: I need to see you.
Her: What are we doing?
Him: We’re about to find out.

Dani just learned her boyfriend was cheating on her and used money he borrowed from her to pay for the new girls ring. Andie, Dani’s best friend, drags her out after deleting his number from her phone. At the bar, Dani gets nice and drunk and through persuasion, was going to send raunchy texts to Daryl to make him regret what he did. Only thing was, she couldn’t fully remember his number. Enter the start of the wrong texting conversation.

I absolutely FLOVED this book. A fellow blogger and reader gifted me a copy to show appreciation for me following and interacting on their page which was really sweet and totally awesome of her. As soon as I accepted it, I sat down and started reading it. I read it until 3 am when I FINISHED it. I just couldn’t go to bed without finishing this book it was that good.

I love the characters. They are totally normal everyday people that you could find just by looking around you. The explosive nature of some of them is totally awesome. I love the text messages that go back and forth between Dani and Ram. I really love teh banter back and forth between Andie and Roman on whose trying to insult the other more. Andie sure is a spitfire and totally badass. I’m most like Dani I think. Not many boyfriends, having caught some cheating. However, I have never texted a wrong number. And man if only real life turned out like this book I would grab my phone and send a message to a random number and just hope it was a guy on the other end. LOL

This book will have you needing a change of panties several times while reading it. I would suggest waiting until the end of the book otherwise you’re going to go through several pairs of panties before it’s over with. 😉

K Webster and J.D. Hollyfield are both new authors to me. And they will now be on my favorite authors list. This book was OMG worthy. I can’t wait for the next book which follows Andie and Roman. This is definitely a 5* read. I would love to see this book made into a movie!!

Description: Zoey

Turning thirty is overrated. Who said you had to be married with a fabulous career and three kids? I had a great life. Single, freedom to do whatever I please, and best of all, stay home on a Friday night in my sweats, eating pizza while listening to the best of the ’80s.

I’m fine.

When a woman says she’s fine, she’s not fine. Zoey had it all. Stunning looks, ambition, the whole package. Then he fucked her up. He broke her.

And now I’m left picking up the pieces…again.

Zoey Richards, strong-willed and driven, settled on the geeky struggling med student to share her apartment with, not the perfect-in-every-way stud who would just distract her and undoubtedly break her heart.

When her ex comes back into the picture, Zoey seeks revenge and enlists her roommate’s help. All Zoey and Drew need to do is pretend to be a couple for one night. But one night can change everything. Refusing to break their “roomie code,” and in an effort to deny their feelings for each other, a war erupts between Zoey and Drew.

She lives in the past; he, for the future. If opposites attract, will these two gamble their friendship for a chance at love?

I really liked this book. Zoey is a typical female in her late twenties. She’s looking for a roommate and interviews several men before deciding on Andrew. After a while he becomes more health conscious and starts hitting the gym. With his new self, he decides he wants to be called Drew instead of Andrew. He’s a man-whore while Zoey hasn’t had anything serious since her relationship with Jess ended.

Things get complicated during the course of the story. And I mean complicated to the point I think it’s almost over at a few parts and it keeps going to prove me wrong. It’s a nice love story with some obstacles worked in. Not too many and not too few. I laughed a few times during this book at a few parts.

Author Kat Masen has a way with words. They were easy to read and flowed nicely across the page. I didn’t notice any spelling or grammatical errors. A solid 4/5 *’s on this one.

I purchased this book for free. Purchased on 1/6/2017. Started Reading 1/6/2017 and finished /7/2017.

Stepbrother Bad Boy by Veronica Daye

Rosalie is crushing on the new hot guy at school. He started there the year before, he’s tattooed and he’s a bad boy. All the girls want him and he has a reputation in the school.  Noelle, Rosalie’s best friend, and Rosalie like to spy on him and watch him when he’s outside smoking. Rosalie thinks she’s being sneaky but Shane knows that she watches him. He just doesn’t say anything to her.

Rosalie lives with her mother and step-father Jim. She absolutely hates it there. She has no privacy, can’t talk on the phone without Jim listening in and she can’t hang out with her friends. She even has time limits on how long she can be gone with her own father. Rosalie knows that Jim is a creeper and her mother knows how she feels about him. But her mother always sides with Jim.

When Rosalie finishes high school she gets a job. Even though she’s paying rent, buying groceries and helping pay on their credit cards, she still has no privacy in the house. She put a lock on her door and it ticks Jim off something fierce. She refuses to give him a key and he ends up taking the door off the hinges in retaliation. So what does Rosalie do? She moves in with her father and his wife.

Did I happen to mention yet that her father’s wife’s son is the hot guy from  high school? Oops. I seemed to have forgotten to mention that before now. Things went wrong one day at school and Shane (hot guy) ended up going to jail for four months. He moves in with his mother, Rosalie and her dad when he is released. Things get weird between them pretty quickly.

Rosalie wants nothing more than to forget about her stepbrother and to quit having all the thoughts she has about him. But it’s hard when you’re living in the same house. How does she forget him? Or does she? Is she able to handle her feelings and keep things semi-cordial between them? Why did Shane go to jail? What is the true reason that Rosalie hates Jim and has nightmares about when she was littler?

I bought this book for 99 cents on Amazon. It sounded like a good book. I was NOT disappointed in reading this book. I loved it. I’m not a HUGE romance fan but I do read them. This one is definitely keeping its place on my Kindle and will be revisted from time to time.

Special Offers (The Coursodon Dimension #1) by M.L Ryan

special offers

Hailey is a thirty-something year old female living in Tucson, Arizona. She works for a company that milks chinchillas to make cheese with. One morning, she notices she had WAY too many books for her shelves. Her living room is cluttered with bookshelves whose shelves are 2 and 3 deep with books. She purchases a Kindle cheaply with the stipulation of special offers showing on the sleep screen rather than pretty artwork.

The first time she turns her Kindle on, she gets a tingling sensation and chalks it up to being static electricity. She thinks nothing more of it and goes on about her week as normal. But on the weekend, she feels like she’s getting sick. So she spends the entire weekend at home. Sometime over the weekend, she made a phone call but doesn’t remember it.

The other party calls her back a couple of times before she gets rude with them and hangs up. A few days later, she trips while running and it happens in front of a hot guy. They meet up at the bar the next night, but not knowingly on her part. Her colleagues and best friend were going to meet her at the bar but then cancelled on her.

Alex and Hailey talk for a few minutes before she goes running out of the bar, in tears. She makes it home and Alex follows her. She dropped her phone and he wanted to make sure she was really okay. Alex explains things to Hailey and she accepts them. Alex accompanies Hailey to work each day under the rouse of making the company’s computers better, which he does.

There is so much more that happens in this book that I could never do this book justice.

I loved this book. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it or not but I gave it a try. And in the end, I loved this book. It is a funny read in places and serious at others. Definitely a lot of action and adventure packed into it.

Only problem was, her truck wasn’t there. It was in town at the local bar. She gives up and sits down on the stairs to the ranch where her and Cade end up talking.

Deciding he wouldn’t be forgetting or betraying his late wife, he decides to see what happens with Lacy. They end up being good for each other. Rosethorn by Ava Zavora

Serafina, or Sera, starts out as a teenager working at a neighbor’s house to save up money. Another of the kids that works there, Andrew, is a complete asshole to her at first. One day, he steals her notebook that he always saw her writing in and she doesn’t realize it until he starts reciting some of her poetry.

Things smooth over between the two as time goes and they end up in a tumultuous relationship. Their relationship starts and ends several times before it comes to the present. Sera has a new boyfriend who is living in Italy and wants her to move there with him. She agrees but has to go back home to sort out her affairs and to make peace with her past.

She goes to Rosethorn, a mansion, that was hers and Andrew’s spot. She is shocked to see him there working on the house. She realizes that he’s bought the house and isn’t happy about it. Because he’s holding onto the past. But then things come up between them and they end up back together, for a few nights.

This was a good book. It would be nice if there has been clear hints whether you were in Sera’s time or back in Stella’s, her mother. It goes back and forth and takes a little getting used to but it is a good book otherwise.
