Within These Walls (Box Set) by Tracey Ward

Within These Walls

This box set includes both books from the Quarantined series and then the three books from the sister series, Survival.

I previously had the first book in the Quarantined series, Until the End. I read it and fell in love with this series. Alissa and Jordan are at ground zero when the Fever hits. Ground Zero is Portland. Alissa has some major mental health issues but it’s explained in the book and I would have been more concerned has she not had any. Lol Alissa and Jordan go through a lot before meeting up with her uncle in a different part of the state.

The second book, In The End, finds Alissa, Jordan and Sid all trying to survive together. Sid and Jordan really don’t like each other and Alissa tries to play the peacekeeper through most of the book. They end up at a camp after Jordan is bit. He is the first person to EVER survive a Risen bite. Only because he cuts his hand off which tells the doctors quite a bit of information.

This ends the Quarantined series and then it moves on to the sister series Survival.

This series takes place nine years after the Quarantined series and follows Jocelyn or Joss as she likes to be called. A zombie killed her mother and father when she was eight years old on Christmas day. She hid behind the tree until it wandered on and then bolted. She drifted from place to place but each time the people she was with died. So she decided to go out on her own. She’s been on her own for six years and is not a people person at all. The only person she gets on with is Crenshaw, a semi-crazy man who lives in the woods. Things get a LOT worse for the Vashons (the survivors of the original outbreak), the colonies (people who follow a crazy man who survived the original outbreak), the gangs and the cannibals before they get any better.

This was an AMAZING and AWESOME series to read. I read it every chance I got since I purchased the box set back on the 17th. There are some sad moments in the books but that’s to be expected. I almost cried a few times. This box set was $3.99 and is well worth it to buy the box set versus each book individually.
